EPS White Book
Thermal insulation products were one of the very first group of construction products to be standardised under the Construction Products Directive, hereto mandated by the European Commission.
The EPS White Book is produced by EUMEPS and explains background standardisation work done by the Working Group 4 under the Technical Committee 88 (TC88) of CEN, which has led to the specific structure and content of EPS standards.
At this moment a series of standards is available for thermal insulation for building and construction purposes. But this standardisation is an ongoing process.
Standards for the use of EPS in industrial applications and building equipment, civil engineering applications, external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) and EPS gypsum boards are in preparation.
Data from research and developments carried out in connection with these projects will be incorporated in new versions of the present document. That is why the EPS White Book is a living paper and will be revised on a regular basis by EUMEPS.
